The Karuna Legacy Process

Six steps, unhurried, from first conversation to a box in your hands.

Most families come to us not knowing where to start. That's normal. The process is designed so you never have to be the one holding it all together.

  1. 01

    Discover

We meet the family. We learn who you are and what you are looking for.

  2. 02

    Prepare

We research together. We gather old photographs, audio and video from wherever they've been sitting, and we design questions written for your family alone.

  3. 03

    Capture

A professionally-captured interview, in a place where your person feels at ease, and facilitated either by a family member or a professional Karuna facilitator. We film, we listen, and we don't rush.

  4. 04

    Craft

We edit the story into a documentary, a full transcript, and the keepsakes that go in the collection.

  5. 05

    Preserve

The archive is secured — organised, backed up, and handed to you in a form you can actually keep and add to over time.

  6. 06

    Celebrate

We deliver the collection to the family, together. Then we help you keep telling it, as the family grows and new stories are added.

The hardest part is asking the first question. We ask it for you.
